What and Why?

Mum Talks is an events company that supports, inspires, and empowers women through their journey of motherhood with in-person and online meet-ups, events, talks, and workshops.

Mum Talks provides a safe, and supportive network for mums so they know they’re not alone, can learn from experts and check in with others who are going through the same experience and reality of motherhood.

Mum Talks was created eight years ago. Inspired by her own experiences of early motherhood, Lucy O’Driscoll Edge realised that while there were countless activities centred on the baby, very little existed to truly support the mum herself and acknowledge the huge transition a woman goes through when she becomes a mother.

Lucy is the founder of Mum Talks, a community dedicated to supporting and connecting mothers. Passionate about helping women navigate motherhood, she has spent over nine years bringing mums together through events and conversations. Lucy has interviewed more than 100 experts and speakers who work with mothers and families, and loves creating spaces where women feel supported, informed, and connected.

Donna, mum to 2 amazing girls. Donna has worked in childcare since 1999 and is a qualified Montessori educator, has a BA Hons in early childhood education and care and is the manager of school age childcare setting in Longford. Donna is the founder of Ickle Minds which provides sensory and messy play classes and workshops for children from 6mths onwards.

Karen Prunty is a Paediatric Nurse with 14 years of experience, a mum of four, and founder of Little Roo.

Jen is a Postpartum Doula, former Midwife, & Creator of ‘What About Mama?’ - an Irish gifting service for Mums.

Location: Wicklow
Tracy is a full-time mum to her three boys Harry and twins Theo and Freddie. Tracy is also the author of best selling-memoir “Raising Resilience” and she’s also a passionate advocate for Maternal Mental Health. As one of her sons, Freddie, also has Down Syndrome she prides herself on being an advocate for him, and the Down Syndrome community also.
