Dr. Aoife is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and works as a senior psychologist in a mental health hospital in Dublin providing psychological intervention for adults experiencing mental health difficulties. Aoife also loves working with children and runs various workshops and groups for children and families in her private practice.
Aoife is a highly sensitive person and mom to two wonderful boys. She is so passionate about helping parents navigate the world of raising these little souls. She loves helping parents learn about the “bright side” of sensitivity, empowering families to tune into the gifts and strengths of a sensitive heart.
Aoife also has so much empathy for parents, resonating with the understandable overwhelm that comes with parenting and managing daily life. Her goal when working with families is always to create a supportive and non-judgmental space, while most of all, helping them feel cared for and heard. Aoife believes wholeheartedly that we are all just doing our best with the resources we have!
Aoife qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2006 and became a specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, completing my Masters in UCD in 2012.
She became a Women’s Health specialist Physio in 2015 but like most things in life, until you experience it for yourself you never fully understand how much your body changes after having a child. As busy Mums, our own health and wellbeing often moves to the bottom of the priority list – we suffer in silence with common pelvic symptoms, thinking this is our new normal. Aoife advocate’s for women’s health, in the hope she can help to educate and empower women of all ages to live a life without limitations.
Aoife regularly attends professional courses and conferences to keep up to date with the current evidence-based management of pelvic health issues, such as painful sex, bladder leaks, bowel issues, prolapse, menopause, endometriosis, pelvic floor dysfunction.
Kathy Milliken is mum to three children, Ayla, Robyn and Jake and lives in Malahide, Co.Dublin with her husband Steve.
Well before planning her own family Kathy knew she wanted to work in an area where she could support women during their pregnancy and throughout their motherhood journey.
Since 2012 Kathy has studied in many different areas from Pregnancy Yoga, to Doula support, Infant Massage to Breastfeeding support, and throughout that time Bump, Baby and Me was born.
Over the past numbers of years Bump Baby and Me has steadily grown and now offers a variety of different classes and sessions both in-person and online.
Kathy regularly enjoys collaborating with other industry professionals to support, educate and empower women and their families throughout Ireland and further afield.
Maintaining a balance with work, family and self-care can be a juggle (& struggle) at times but self-awareness and woman-centered wellness is at the forefront of what Kathy promotes through her business and her honest social media accounts.
