  • Carmel Connor
    Carmel Connor

Firstly, Carmel is a mum of 2 teenagers. She has worked for 25 years in the area of learning disability. As her children got older it allowed her the opportunity to return to college and follow her passion and 6 years ago, she qualified as Mindfulness teacher, including neuroscience & positive Psychology.
She moved outside of her comfort zone and set up her business Mayo Mindfulness. Carmel’s focus as a working mum has always been to teach people realistic and practical tools they can incorporate into everyday life. Within this work she also practiced breathwork and was aware she wanted to explore this further.
She returned to education and since qualified as a breathwork coach. We all breathe and when we take conscious control, we can change our breath in many ways to change our state, for relaxation, focus, energy, sleep and more. Carmel’s business is called Sage Wellbeing and she has just completed a postgrad in Workplace Wellness bringing a holistic approach to wellbeing. Her focus from the beginning remains constant, sharing in a realistic and practical way tools to enable everyone to incorporate into their own daily life.

  • Suzanne Carney
    Suzanne Carney

Suzanne Carney is a Clinical Specialist in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and Director of Anatomy Physiotherapy in Co Mayo. After completing her Masters in Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapy in Perth, she realised her dream was to bring the incredible knowledge and experience she gained in Australia back home to Ireland.
Suzanne treats a wide variety of female conditions, male pelvic health and children’s continence, but her main passion lies with the pre and postnatal period for women. She has a special interest in supporting breastfeeding mothers and teaches other physiotherapists and lactation consultants advanced practice techniques for issues like mastitis and cracked nipples.
Suzanne also has postgraduate training in the use of real-time ultrasound, clinical Pilates, scar management and continence health promotion. She believes that knowledge is power and often provides education sessions and talks in person and online to help break the taboos around women’s health topics.
Suzanne is mum to two fabulous humans and for her, this is the best job of all!
